Quick answer

Marysville residents can get home internet from AT&T Fiber, Race, T-Mobile Home Internet and Xfinity, and some addresses also have satellite or local wireless options. AT&T Fiber and Race deliver fiber, Xfinity delivers cable, and T-Mobile delivers 5G wireless. Monthly prices run from about $35 to $125, depending on speed.

Choosing an internet provider shouldn’t feel like decoding a puzzle, but “up to” speeds, introductory prices and small-print fees can make it feel that way. If you live in Marysville, a handful of providers serve your area, and each one works a little differently.

This guide puts them side by side: what they cost, how fast they are, and what to ask before you sign up. We’re Race Communications, one of the providers covered here, and we’ve taken every number from each provider’s own website so you can compare with confidence.

Key takeaways

All four list unlimited data and no annual contract.
AT&T Fiber and Race advertise matching upload and download speeds. Xfinity’s typical upload on a 1 Gig plan is 41 Mbps.
At 1 Gig, monthly prices are $80 for AT&T Fiber, $49.95 for Race and $70 for Xfinity. Race adds a required $9.95 monthly fee, and AT&T Fiber and Xfinity add $10 a month without autopay.

Who are the Internet Providers in Marysville, CA?

Four main providers serve Marysville: AT&T Fiber, Race, T-Mobile Home Internet and Xfinity. Two use fiber, one uses cable and one uses 5G wireless. Satellite and local wireless services fill in at some addresses. Which ones reach your home depends on your exact address.

Provider	Type of internet	Plan speeds offered
AT&T Fiber	Fiber	300 Mbps to 5 Gig
Race Communications	Fiber to the home	300 Mbps to 10 Gig
T-Mobile Home Internet	5G wireless	Up to 498 Mbps
Xfinity	Cable	300 Mbps to 1.2 Gig

You may also see Verizon 5G Home, satellite services (Starlink, Viasat, HughesNet) and small local wireless companies in your area. They are worth a look if the four above don’t reach your address, but this guide focuses on the four most Marysville homes can choose from.

What Types of Internet Can I Get in Marysville?

You can get four types: fiber, cable, 5G home internet and satellite. Fiber sends light through glass lines and usually gives the steadiest speeds. Cable runs over TV-style coaxial lines. 5G home internet uses cell towers. Satellite beams from space and reaches almost anywhere.

Type	How it reaches your home	Offered in Marysville by	Good to know
Fiber	Light signals through glass cables, often all the way into your home (“fiber to the home”)	AT&T Fiber, Race Communications	Upload speeds can match download speeds
Cable	Coaxial cable, the same kind of line used for cable TV	Xfinity	Downloads are fast, but uploads are much lower
5G home internet	A cellular signal to a small gateway in your home	T-Mobile (Verizon at some addresses)	Speeds can change with signal strength and how busy the tower is
Satellite	A dish that talks to satellites in space	Starlink, Viasat, HughesNet	Reaches remote spots, but speeds and delays vary by service

What Does “Symmetrical” Mean?

Symmetrical means your upload speed matches your download speed. Downloads cover streaming and browsing. Uploads matter for video calls, cloud backups, online gaming and sending large files. If your household does a lot of those, it’s worth checking upload speeds as well as download speeds.

How Much Does Internet Cost in Marysville?

At 1 Gig, monthly prices are $80 for AT&T Fiber, $49.95 for Race and $70 for Xfinity. At 500 Mbps they are $65 for AT&T Fiber, $44.95 for Race, and $60 for both Xfinity and T-Mobile’s wireless plan. Some providers add a monthly charge, so check the last column.

Provider	500 Mbps plan	1 Gig plan	Also on your monthly bill
AT&T Fiber	$65	$80	+$10 without AutoPay and paperless billing. AT&T’s site may show less for the first 12 months. See below.
Race Communications	$44.95	$49.95	+$9.95 Tech Assure fee, required on every plan
T-Mobile Home Internet	$60 up to 498 Mbps	No 1 Gig plan	+$10 without AutoPay
Xfinity	$60	$70	+$10 without autopay and paperless billing

Prices come from each provider’s website, with autopay and without first-year offers, so they are ongoing monthly prices. With the extras added, a household that signs up for autopay would pay about $80 for AT&T Fiber, $59.90 for Race and $70 for Xfinity at 1 Gig. At 500 Mbps, that works out to about $65, $54.90 and $60.

Want more speed? AT&T Fiber offers 5 Gig ($125), Race Communications offers 5 Gig ($89.95) and 10 Gig ($119.95), and Xfinity tops out at 1.2 Gig ($100). Entry-level 300 Mbps plans range from $34.95 to $50.

Do Internet Providers Offer Mobile Bundle Discounts?

A mobile bundle means you buy your cell phone service and your home internet from the same company, and the company takes a little off one of the bills.

Provider	What a mobile bundle does
AT&T Fiber	$15 to $25 a month off your internet plan, depending on speed, with eligible AT&T Wireless service.
Race	Internet only, so there is no mobile bundle or discount. Race does offer home phone service as an add-on for $10 a month.
T-Mobile Home Internet	$15 a month off when you add Home Internet to a qualifying T-Mobile phone plan, according to T-Mobile’s page. It needs a monthly-billed phone line, can take up to two bill cycles to show up, and ends if you cancel lines or change plans.
Xfinity	No internet discount for mobile customers. Xfinity Internet customers get $10 a month off an Xfinity Mobile line, and Xfinity Mobile requires Xfinity Internet.

None of these discounts are included in this guide’s prices, since they only help if you also want that company’s mobile service.

How to read any provider’s price

Look for the standard price, the discounts that last as long as you stay (like autopay) and the discounts that expire. Then ask what your bill will be in month 13.

How Fast is Internet in Marysville?

On a 1 Gig plan, AT&T Fiber and Race typically deliver about 940 to 1,000 Mbps in both directions. Xfinity typically downloads at about 1,172 Mbps but uploads at about 41 Mbps. T-Mobile’s typical speeds are lower and vary more, from 170 to 498 Mbps for downloads.

Provider	Plan	Typical download	Typical upload
AT&T Fiber	1 Gig	999.6 Mbps	946.9 Mbps
Race Communications	1 Gig	940 Mbps	940 Mbps
T-Mobile Home Internet	Amplified or All-In up to 498 Mbps	170 to 498 Mbps	12 to 55 Mbps
Xfinity	1 Gig	1,172 Mbps	41 Mbps

Bars share one scale, 0 to 1,200 Mbps

These typical speeds come from each provider’s Broadband Facts label, the FCC-required “nutrition label” for internet plans. Your own speeds will vary with your Wi-Fi, your devices and the time of day.

Do Marysville Internet Providers Have Data Caps or Contracts?

No. All four providers list unlimited data, and none requires a long-term contract. T-Mobile’s label adds that speeds can slow when its network is busy, especially after about 1.2 TB of use in a month.

Xfinity and T-Mobile each advertise a 5-year price guarantee. If a steady monthly rate matters to you, ask any provider how long your price is locked in before you sign up.

Is Installation Free, and Do I Need to Buy a Router?

AT&T Fiber and Race both list free installation, and Xfinity offers a $0 self-install kit. T-Mobile is self-install and takes about 15 minutes. All four include a router or gateway with service, though AT&T Fiber and T-Mobile list charges tied to the equipment.

Provider	Installation	Router or gateway
AT&T Fiber	$0	Gateway included. A $150 fee applies if you don’t return it.
Race Communications	Free	Free router
T-Mobile Home Internet	Self-install, about 15 minutes	Gateway included. A $35 device connection charge applies at sale.
Xfinity	Self-install kit $0 (shipping may apply), Self-Install Plus $39.99, or professional install $100	Equipment included

A “gateway” is a modem and router in one box. Whichever provider you choose, ask whether you’ll get a technician visit or a self-install kit, since that can change how quickly you’re online.

What Extra Fees Get Added to the Monthly Price?

Race adds a required $9.95 monthly Tech Assure fee. AT&T Fiber, Xfinity and T-Mobile add $10 a month if you skip autopay. Each provider also lists a few one-time or occasional charges.

Provider	Monthly extras	One-time or occasional charges
AT&T Fiber	+$10 without AutoPay and paperless billing	$150 if the gateway isn’t returned, $9.99 late fee
Race Communications	$9.95 Tech Assure, required on every plan	$0 startup fee, $0 early termination fee
T-Mobile Home Internet	+$10 without AutoPay	$35 device connection charge
Xfinity	+$10 without autopay and paperless billing	$10 late fee, install options as listed above

What is Race’s Tech Assure fee?

Tech Assure is a required $9.95 monthly fee on every Race plan. It covers service calls and the repair or replacement of Race-owned equipment and wiring. You can read Race’s own explanation in its Help Center.

How do I see every fee before I order?

Ask for the plan’s Broadband Facts label. Providers are required to show one for each plan, and it lists the monthly price, one-time fees, typical speeds and data policy in the same format, so you can compare plans side by side.

Satellite services such as Starlink, Viasat and HughesNet, plus some local wireless companies, may also be available depending on your address.

Is fiber internet available in Marysville?

Yes. AT&T Fiber and Race both offer fiber internet in Marysville, though availability depends on your exact address. Fiber sends data as light through glass cables, which is why these plans can offer upload speeds that match download speeds. Enter your address on each provider’s website to see whether fiber reaches your home.

What is the fastest internet in Marysville?

Race lists the fastest plan at 10 Gig, followed by AT&T Fiber at 5 Gig and Xfinity at 1.2 Gig. T-Mobile Home Internet’s fastest plans are rated up to 498 Mbps. Top speeds may not be offered at every address, and the speeds you see at home vary with your devices and Wi-Fi setup.

What is the cheapest internet in Marysville?

At 500 Mbps and 1 Gig, Race has the lowest base prices: $44.95 and $49.95 a month, plus a required $9.95 Tech Assure fee. Xfinity is $60 and $70, AT&T Fiber is $65 and $80, and T-Mobile is $60 for up to 498 Mbps. Customers who also buy mobile service from AT&T or T-Mobile can save $15 to $20 a month by bundling. Confirm prices for your address.

Which Marysville providers have no data caps?

All four main providers list unlimited data: AT&T Fiber, Race, T-Mobile Home Internet and Xfinity. T-Mobile’s label notes that speeds can slow when its network is busy, especially after about 1.2 TB of use in a month. Satellite plans can work differently, so check each plan’s data policy.

Which Marysville providers require a contract?

None of the four main providers requires a long-term contract. AT&T Fiber, T-Mobile and Xfinity list no annual or term contract, and Race lists no contract and a $0 early termination fee. Xfinity and T-Mobile also advertise 5-year price guarantees on their plans.

What is the difference between symmetrical and asymmetrical internet?

Symmetrical internet has equal download and upload speeds, while asymmetrical internet has much faster downloads than uploads. Symmetrical plans help with video calls, cloud backups and large file uploads. AT&T Fiber and Race offer symmetrical fiber plans, while Xfinity’s cable and T-Mobile’s 5G plans are asymmetrical.

How does 5G home internet compare with fiber?

Fiber is usually faster and steadier, with matching upload speeds. 5G home internet, like T-Mobile’s, has lower and more variable speeds because it depends on signal strength and how busy the tower is, but it installs in about 15 minutes with no technician. T-Mobile’s typical download speeds run from 170 to 498 Mbps.

Do I have to buy my own router?

No. AT&T Fiber, Race, T-Mobile and Xfinity each include a router or gateway with service. Race’s router is free, and AT&T Fiber lists a $150 fee if you don’t return its gateway. T-Mobile lists a $35 device connection charge at sale. Check each provider’s terms before you order.

Why is my internet bill higher than the advertised price?

Extra monthly charges can raise your bill above the advertised price. Examples here include Race’s required $9.95 Tech Assure fee and the $10 charge from AT&T Fiber, Xfinity and T-Mobile if you skip autopay. Some advertised prices also include discounts that end after the first year. Add the extras to the shown price, and ask for the plan’s Broadband Facts label before you order.
