A Visual Guide: Placing Your Race Order

We’ve done our research, received permits, and completed construction. Now it’s time to place your Race order. 

With all the excitement that comes with opening a new zone, we get a lot of questions regarding how to place an order at Race. 

Here’s how you can place an order at Race Communications: 

  • Call our sales team at 877-722-3833 to complete your order. 
  • Order online. Use this guide to familiarize yourself with order questions, the format, and the necessary information to complete your order.

Step 1: Find the Order Page

Visit Race homepage and click the “Check Availability” button in the top right corner or go directly to the order page. 

Step 2: Enter Your Address

Check the availability of our services by entering your address in the search bar. There are three possible outcomes: 

  1. If service is available, the order will say Congratulations, service is available. You can proceed by clicking the button “Order Now”. 
  1. If service is available soon, the order will say We’re on our way. You can get the latest updates on your community by clicking “Get Service Updates”.  
  1. The service isn’t available in your area and will not be coming soon.  

Because we do a site survey during our construction phase, our database is preloaded with addresses we’ve already collected. Learn more about our process here. 

Step 3: Fill Out the Order Form 


Once you’ve successfully selected your address, you will be taken to the order form, which will default to the “Residential” order form. If you are a business, choose“Switch to Business” in the top right corner. 

Choose one of the following: 

  • Á la carte allows you to choose individual services (internet, phone, RaceTV).  
  • Bundle the Race services together automatically.  

Step 4: Choose Your Internet Services

Currently, there are two types of internet services available: 

  • Gigabit Internet 
  • Basic Internet 

If you’ve selected Bundle, you automatically get our premium Gigabit package, with our WiFi router with your package. In addtion, you can add WiFi Mesh units for $5/unit. 

If you’ve selected Á la carte, you can choose between the two options. You can add a WiFi router for $10 and additional Wi-Fi Mesh units for $5/unit. If you don’t want to order internet services, you can also unselect all boxes and click the button “Continue without Internet” in the bottom right corner. 

Step 5: Select Your Phone Package 


There are two types of phone services available: 

  • Unlimited Phone 
  • Basic Phone 

If you want to keep your original telephone number, select the option ‘I would like to keep my number’ at the bottom of the section. 

If you have selected Á la carte and don’t want to sign up for phone service, unselect all boxes and click the button “Continue without Phone” in the bottom right corner. 

 Step 6: Select Your RaceTV Services

There are two types of RaceTV packages available: 

  • Expanded TV 
  • Basic TV 

When selecting RaceTV services, decide how many Set-top and DVR boxes you would like to include with your order. If you want to install RaceTV in multiple rooms, select the quantity you will need. 

If you have selected Á la carte and don’t want to sign up for RaceTV, unselect all boxes and click the button “Continue without TV” in the bottom right corner. 

Step 7: Review Your Order

Review and place your order. You can always scroll back up and edit any of the previously selected services.  

Double-check key information, such as: 

  • Selected services 
  • quantities of boxes 
  • if you want to keep/get rid of your home number 

Step 8: Fill Out Your Contact Information

To finish the ordering process, fill out your primary contact information and billing address. Then, continue to Billing and finish your Race order. 

Step 9: Receive Your Order Confirmation Number

And that’s it! This is how you place an order at Race Communications in nine easy steps.

You will receive an order confirmation number and a summary of the services you’ve ordered. Please allow up to 24-48 hours for a welcome call from our in-house Customer Service team for the next steps.
